Paine House Museum in Coventry, Rhode Island

Have $6 and an empty afternoon with not much else to do in Rhode Island? Well take a visit to this historical museum. Sometimes you may be lucky to encounter a farmer's market taking place on it's lawn during the warmer months, however the real charm is seeing what life was like in the early days of Amercia. Made in the late 1600s and maintained as a reminder to see how far we've come in terms of living comfortably. Once started as a one room home made by Samuel Bennett in order to run his Saw Mill, has been sold to various people over the years and built up and was last lived in during the 1940s. Each owner has done something different with the place and you can learn more about that with your visit here.
