McDonald’s or Starbucks? The fast-food chain’s new 2026 holiday menu includes seasonal drinks, meal deals

It’s not even Halloween, but McDonald’s is just days away from rolling out its new holiday menu. And this year, it includes a number of seasonal beverages, just like Starbucks’s popular annual holiday offerings. The burger giant will introduce the festive drinks on Tuesday, November 3—as well as a new $8 meal deal that arrives one day before. Here’s what to know. McDonald’s 2026 holiday menu comes with 5 new drinks On Tuesday, McDonald’s drops five new seasonal beverages: Frosted Cranberry Splash with Sprite, two versions of the Red Bull Frosted Cranberry Energizer, and two kinds of Cookie Butter Frappés. [Image: McDonald’s] That means between McDonald’s and Starbucks, consumers will have their pick of holiday drinks. As Fast Company recently reported, Starbucks’s highly anticipated lineup includes two new seasonal drinks—Apple Pomegranate Refresher and Tiramisu Velvet—alongside classics like Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brûlée Latte, Sugar Cookie Latte, and Gingerbread Chai. McDonald’s Frosted Cranberry Splash is made from Sprite infused with orange and cranberry flavors, featuring cold foam and cranberry sprinkles. For a holiday pick-me-up, the Red Bull Frosted Cranberry Energizer tops cold foam and sprinkles over your choice of original Red Bull or Red Bull Zero. And the Cookie Butter Frappé is a creamy blended drink with a butter cookie flavor that’s topped with caramel cookie crumbs and sweet vanilla whipped cream. All the drinks are available for a limited time in select cities. McDonald’s is dropping an $8 meal deal Also, starting Monday, November 2, the fast-food chain will offer an $8 Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal deal, with medium fries and a drink, at participating locations. The McDonald’s McRib sandwich is also back, but only for a limited time In case you missed it: This week, McDonald’s brought back its McRib sandwich. This blast from the past—which made its debut in 1981, only to fade from glory—has been reappearing each fall over the last few years. A dedicated fan even created a McRib Locator map to help you find the restaurant closest to you that offers the sandwich.
