What’s the connection between Netanyahu, Messi, and Spanish rap? The real story is revealed
Last Saturday Benjamin Netanyahu posted a video in which he watches himself perform rap in Spanish. Of course it’s not really him. The video was created using artificial intelligence, and it’s just one of dozens of versions that have flooded the network in recent days, starring Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Donald Trump and other celebrities. These videos are part of one of the surprising viral trends of recent days, which actually began with a chance encounter on a street in Spain. One video, which has already surpassed 65 million views on Instagram, was enough to spark a wave of AI‑generated imitations, spawn an official song, and even reach the Prime Minister of Israel.
