High incidence, low mortality: Breast cancer data in Israel

In 2023, 5,565 new cases of breast cancer were diagnosed in Israel. This is according to data from the Ministry of Health ahead of the awareness month observed in October. In international comparison, Israel ranked 33rd in incidence and only 125th in mortality. Five-year survival stood at 92% among Jewish and other women, and at 87% among Arab women.
