Naomi Shmer, Meir Shalev and the band Shfatayim stand at the center of "The Fathers and Mothers," the new documentary series on Kan about the figures who shaped Israeli culture. The three films are not uniform in quality, but they are definitely worth your time in front of the screen, and succeed in the sacred blend – compelling human and intimate material, but lacking a yellow hue.
