China builds its own Nvidia: Huawei will launch a new AI chip every year and set up systems with up to a million processors

The Chinese technology giant is expected to unveil the Ascend 960 chips, as part of an aggressive roadmap aimed at narrowing the gap with the United States. Huawei plans a new generation each year, doubling computing power, while simultaneously developing massive systems that can connect up to a million AI processors.
