Breakthrough in Quantum Research: Israeli and Chinese Scientists Achieve Control of a Single Photon

Researchers from the Technion and their colleagues in China have developed a tiny quantum meta-material, through which the spin and orbital angular momentum of photons can be controlled, and vortex beams and holograms can be generated from single photons. The research may aid in the development of quantum technologies, including computers, sensors, and quantum communication.
